Couldn’t resist posting a few vintage valentine images – I inherited the one above from my grandmother. The ones below came from an old family scrapbook that my husband inherited . Don’t you just love the art on vintage valentines?!
Valentines
Games We Love
This Valentine’s Day we decided to celebrate by staying home and playing all the games we love. (Featured games: Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, Carcassone, Sushi Go, Coloretto, Elevenses, and the aptly named “Love Letter” – a simple card game that quickly became a family favorite when we were introduced to it a little over a year ago.)
How are you celebrating Valentines Day?
Valentines Day Crafts
Using the same set of felt hearts, I created a wreath and a festive Valentine’s garland.
The hearts were created using two heart-shaped pieces of felt – fused with a blanket stitch done with embroidery floss and lightly stuffed with fiber fill.
Why put your Christmas decorations away when you can just re-purpose them?
For the wreath craft, I’ve attached the hearts using ornament hooks to a simple grapevine wreathform covered with white Christmas Garland (a $1 find at my local Goodwill store).
For the garland craft I’ve simply hung hearts on a wooden bead garland (also borrowed from my Christmas tree).
